Watercress
looks lie watercress to me………..
Looks like Cress, rather like the stuff labeled “Garden Cress” the last time I got some at the grocery. I would guess different produce suppliers have different names for it. Water cress has smaller leaves. I used to pick it from a small stream near my parents house. In late winter and early spring still see it growing in the canals around us where I live now, but they are too polluted with trash to trust gathering.
Did your family like the peppery taste?
It’s water cress, right? I don’t care for it, but my husband’s grandma makes a traditional Japanese New Year’s soup that has this in it.
I say Watercress too. It was my first thought and it’s good to see I’m in good company. 🙂
watercress 🙂
It is definitely watercress. You have stumped me before….but not this time! 🙂

It looks like a young turnip with the greens still attached.
