Strawberry Spinach Salad. Delicious! Really there is not much else to say about this salad.
I am not normally a fan of fruit with my greens or with my meat. In general I prefer my fruit by itself or in a dessert, however I love this salad.
The sweet strawberries with the fresh spinach and the tangy dressing just go together. It is the perfect salad for spring and summer when strawberries are in season.
When I visited my sister over the the weekend she served a strawberry salad like this with maple glazed pecans and it was really good. I love the crunch the pecans added to the salad. I don’t serve mine with pecans because of my daughter’s nut allergy, but if you can have pecans, I would add the glazed pecans it will make it even better.
Strawberry Spinach Salad
Strawberry Spinach Salad is a simple spinach salad that even spinach haters can enjoy.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 10 ounces fresh spinach, rinsed and dried well
- 1 quart strawberries, sliced
Instructions
- In a bowl whisk together sugar, oil, balsamic vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and salt. To blend flavors better you can place in the refrigerator for several hours.
- For serving combine the spinach, strawberries, and dressing in a large bowl. Toss to coat well. I like to start with part of the dressing and toss and add more as needed.
- You can also serve the spinach, strawberries, and dressing separately and let everyone serve their own amounts of each.

The dressing sounds delicious! Pinning!
My husband makes the dressing with blended strawberries—even better!! Try it! Use your same dressing minus the onion powder, salt and Wor sauce. It’s divine!!
That sounds really good!
If you can have nuts, this salad is even better with toasted or candied pecans. I also think poppy seeds add a nice touch to the dressing 😉 Yummy!
Poppy seeds would be good, but I never have any on hand. I guess I need to buy some for next time I make it. 🙂
I adore spinach & strawberry salad – so yummy and perfect for summer. Thanks for sharing your recipe. I pinned it to my Strawberry Recipes board on Pinterest – https://pinterest.com/heidikennedy/strawberry-recipes/

Salad looks delicious and will try with the ones that are coming on like crazy in our garden. Sure can tell right away that they are not Oregon strawberries can’t you Lynn – Oregon strawberries are red ALL the way through. Glad you were here to get in on these late Spring treasures.
This would be so much better with Oregon strawberries! Seriously I ate a ton of those when I was out last there last week. They are so good and so sweet!
This is a company worthy recipe, but easy enough for a family dinner! Delicious as well as pretty! Thanks so much!
