Grilled Honey Mustard Turkey Cheese Sandwiches

Leftover turkey is so good. I think I enjoy turkey leftover more than I do the day it is served. I am one of those people that fills up mainly on side dishes and saves the turkey for later. Turkey leftover is the best.

But I don’t just heat and serve the leftover turkey, I like to do all kinds of delicious things with it.

Turkey sandwiches are on the top of the list. And since I love grilled cheese sandwiches, I love to play around with all different kinds of cheese and turkey sandwiches.

Today’s recipe uses the classic combination of honey and mustard. Honey and mustard just go together, and in this turkey cheese sandwich, it gives it that extra flavor that is so good.

If you have leftover turkey in your house this week, this is a must try sandwich.

And this works great with my oven grilled cheese trick.

Grilled Honey Mustard Turkey Cheese Sandwiches

Turkey, honey mustard, and cheese in a delicious hot sandwich.

Prep Time 5 minutes

Cook Time 8 minutes

Total Time 13 minutes

Ingredients

• 8 slices bread, regular or gluten free
• 4 slices cheese ( We like provolone cheese.)
• sliced turkey
• butter
• 2 tablespoons mustard
• 2 tablespoons honey
• 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

Instructions

1. In a small bowl combine mustard, honey, and mayonnaise.
2. Butter one side of the bread slices.
3. Place 4 pieces of bread, buttered side down on electric griddle or skillet.
4. Spread mustard mayonnaise mixture on the other side of the bread. Place one slice of cheese on each piece of bread and place sliced turkey on top of cheese. Butter one side of remaining bread and place buttered side up on top of the sandwich.
5. Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
