Do you need some gluten free dairy free main dish recipes? We put together a huge list of recipes just for you!
Over the last few months I have received phones calls from my mom, sister, and several friends asking questions about cooking for family and friends that were gluten free and dairy free.
My daughter was recently asked the same thing by a couple of friends, so I knew I had readers that might need help too.
We have dealt with food allergies and issues for so long that cooking gluten and dairy free, and reading labels is a way of life for us, but that is not the case with everyone.
Cooking gluten free and dairy free can be challenging, especially for those new to it. It can be even more challenging for those that have never done a lot of cooking.
After conversations with family and friends, my daughter and I decided to put together a list of our favorite gluten free and dairy free main dish recipes.
Our goal with this list of gluten free dairy free main dish recipes, and with all the gluten free recipes that we share, is to share recipes that taste great. Not all gluten free and dairy free foods are worth eating. We have probably all had some really bad gluten free food.
Delicious Gluten Free Dairy Free Recipes
We love to create meals that are so good no one will think about the fact that they are eating something that is gluten free and dairy free.
The list of recipes we put together are all meals that we eat all the time. They are recipes that both the gluten free eaters and the non gluten free eaters in our family enjoy.
There are so many meals that can be made gluten free and dairy free. Food in it’s natural form is usually the easiest. The more processed the food is the more likely it is to contain gluten. Even dairy is in many prepackaged foods.
Hopefully this list will not only give you recipes to make, but also give you ideas of how recipes that you already make can be made gluten free and dairy free.
Some of the recipes below are pictured with cheese, but we just leave out the cheese or serve it on the side, when my daughter, who is dairy free, is eating it.
Read Labels
If you are not familiar with gluten free and dairy free cooking, you must read labels to make sure the ingredients are gluten and dairy free. It is surprising how many items contain gluten and dairy.
Regular soy sauce is not gluten free, but you can buy gluten free soy sauce. Canned broth is normally gluten free, but not always. Some brands of taco seasoning are gluten free, but not all. Those are just a few examples. Always read labels to make sure the brand and items you are buying are gluten and dairy free.
Now for some of our favorite gluten free dairy free recipes.
