Seasoning salt is easy to make at home. It is also cheaper than buying it, especially if you buy your spices in bulk.
I have been making this recipe for years. It is one of my favorite seasonings to keep on hand.
Paula Deen House Seasoning
This recipe is based on a recipe that Paula Deen shared years ago. I think I first saw her make it in the early days of her T.V. show.
Does that fact that I watched the early days of the Paula Deen show age me? Yeah, it probably does because I think that Paula Deen first aired in the early 2000s.
I don’t use many of her recipes, but there are a few classics, like homemade seasoning salt, that I love.
However, I can’t stick to a recipe so I did change Paula’s recipe by adding a little paprika.
