Chocolate, candy canes, and oatmeal are combined in this delicious holiday breakfast treat! This Chocolate Candy Cane Baked Oatmeal is like eating dessert for breakfast.
It is no secret that my family loves baked oatmeal. I have been sharing baked oatmeal recipes since 2009. I have over twenty different versions on my site. I also have a whole post full of baked oatmeal tips and recipes.
Every year around the holidays I like to come up with a new flavor or two for special breakfasts during the holidays.
This year I experimented with a candy cane version of my baked oatmeal. The result is my new favorite.
I love a bowl of this straight from the oven warm with milk poured over top, but I also love to cut up a square of it to eat for a quick snack in the afternoon.
I can see this version of baked Oatmeal making an appearance during the holidays for years to come.
