A few weeks ago I shared about the $5 Taste Of Home Cookbook. Shortly after I shared that post I had a reader mention that by ordering some of the books included in that sale, it signed you up for future previews of other books.
I immediately went and checked the sale and a few of the books did include that, but I spent quite a bit of time looking at the books on sale and did not see any cookbooks that mentioned that. However, I immediately went back and edited that post, so that you all would know to watch for it on the books you ordered.
Some of you have now received your order, and it has come to my attention that in some of orders there was a note stating that you were signed up for future previews of books, even when it did not state that when you ordered it. I am guessing that there must have been a glitch in their system or something that caused this issue.
I wanted to let those of you that ordered know about the issue so that you could watch for it when your books came, in case there was an error with your order.
If their was an error on your order, please call Taste Of Home and let them know, so that it will be taken care of. Their customer service has always been great, so if it happened to you they should be able to easily take care of it.

Thanks Lynn! I doubled checked all my books after I asked you that question….none of them had that extra add in. But I’ll be watching when my order arrives. 🙂 Thanks for the heads up!

Last year I received the email and ordered a couple of the $5 books. What a good deal they were. Or so I thought until about 2 months ago when I received a book which I never ordered – along with a $25 bill (thereabouts – I don’t remember the exact amount). So in order to not have to pay the bill I had to get a special return label and mail the book back in myself. It seems I was enrolled now in their book preview club and I had never signed up for it. (It must be in the fine print somewhere, or not). But just to let you know, what they’re saying is true. I found out the hard way. I let them know that I thought this was quite a deceptive thing to do and had them send me a postage paid sticker to mail the book back with. Watch out!

Thanks for letting me know. I am going to be very careful about promoting this sale next time if this is the case.

I’m really upset about buying from this company. I purchased 4 books on Nov. 4, and I received an empty box on my door steps. A sticker from USPS says “Received Unsealed”. Literally, they did not seal the box. Leaves were in it.
I called them, spoke to someone that didn’t speak English very well. Telling me that it’s going to take 4-6 weeks to process. SERIOUSLY?! I asked for confirmation number, she says they do not do that. I said, what can I get to know that this is going to be processed? She says, this is all I get.
Wow. poor customer service.
DEFINITELY not buying from them again.

I am sorry to hear that. I have had good experience with their customer service. You might try calling back and seeing if someone else is more helpful.

Just got my order & 2 of my books had triggered the “free preview” books. I called the 1-800 # provided & two different (very helpful) reps couldn’t find that I had an account anywhere so hopefully I won’t get any surprises!! Very happy with the cookbooks I received.

I have been waiting for my order for quite a while now from this company. I have talked to 4 different people who don’t really seem to know much of anything. They gave me different shipping dates, and different expected delivery dates. Unfortuantely, my order probably won’t make it here before our first Christmas get together..these were gifts. I was, however, told that I did have the option when I ordered to pay an additional $12 to get my order in 7-10 days. Ridiculous. I will never order anything else from this company. I’m just hoping I do finally recieve my order, or that they will refund me. I’m actually nervous that I’m about $40.
