Caramel Hot Chocolate

Our new favorite way to drink hot chocolate is to make homemade caramel hot chocolate. It is so easy and so good.

Here is how we make it.

Pour a little caramel ice cream topping into the bottom of a cup.

Make a cup of your favorite hot chocolate. We like to use my homemade flavored hot chocolate mix, in either the regular or dark chocolate flavor, but any hot chocolate will work here.

Make sure the hot chocolate is hot, and pour over the caramel. Stir well.

You now have homemade caramel hot chocolate.

Enjoy!

So simple and so good!

I’m about to post something similar to this soon too. When I saw this today I thought I just made that the other day…and now I want another one. We call it Milky Way but it has coffee in it too. It’s one of my favorites! 🙂

@Kristy, I know it is so good isn’t it. I do not like coffee, but I am sure those that do would love a coffee version. That is a great idea.

Yummy – sounds delicious, now I’m wishing I had some caramel ice cream topping in the house.

Definitely on our try very soon list.

This sounds so good I have to try it. I’ve been using a spoonful of Torani carmel syrup in my hot chocolate & adding whip cream on top with a sprinkle of sea salt (to get that salty/sweet combination). With real carmel, it will taste even more rich. Thanks!
