I loved serving “bowls” long before social media made them popular.
Bowls are a great way to let everyone customize their meal. They are also a simple way to stretch food and make it more budget-friendly.
I combined a few simple ingredients into a delicious dinner for this cheeseburger bowl.

Ingredients
- lean ground beef
- onion
- salt
- black pepper
- garlic
- Worcestershire sauce
- ketchup
- mustard
- shredded cheddar cheese
- pickles
- cooked rice
- lettuce
Cheeseburger Bowl
The flavors of a cheeseburger in a delicious bowl! Easy to make gluten free.
Ingredients
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons mustard
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped pickles
- 6 cups cooked rice
- shredded lettuce, optional
Instructions
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned and no longer pink and the onion is tender.
- Drain off any fat.
- Stir in salt, pepper, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, mustard, and 3/4 ( or so ) cup cheese.
- Scoop rice in a bowl and top with meat mixture.
- Sprinkle with pickles, cheese, and lettuce if desired.
