I had planned on getting back to posting recipes today, but I did not get it done. I had to many other things on my to do list. So, I will get back to posting recipes tomorrow. I have an easy and yummy soup to share.

A lot of blogs are posting their list of things they want to do and change in the new year, but I am not much of a New Year’s resolution person. Yes, I take the time to reflect on last year and the new year ahead. I have a few things that I need to adjust, especially some things in my schedule. I have some things I would like to do but nothing really worth a whole post.

So, I think I will talk about another Birthday/Christmas gift. This is one of the things my kids and husband got me.

I am really looking forward to using this. I love Cook’s Illustrated books and have been wanting this cookbook. It has so many recipes in it that I want to try. I found several quick breads and muffins that look really good. Along with many cakes and cookies and even a few healthy things that are one my list to make. I will keep you posted on how I like using this book.

Have any of you used this book? I would love to hear if you have.
