Crockpot cheeseburgers are a simple kid friendly meal, but it is also a meal that adults will enjoy as well.
Cooking for kids can be challenging. Let’s just face it, kids can be very picky eaters. I am pretty sure my kids aren’t the only picky eaters out there.
My kids have developed into great eaters, especially my girls, but they were not always that way. It has taken work and quite a few struggles over meals. If you have little kids, I feel the pain of getting them to eat the food you serve. I am pretty sure most parents can feel that pain.
The best tip I can give you is to keep at it. Keep serving those vegetables. Keep making them try at least one bite. My pickiest eater has now developed into my best eater. We had difficult battles over dinner when she was a younger, but now she often makes herself stir fry for lunch. My vegetable hater, now enjoys them.
I am all about balance though. No one wants to have a battle every single night at the dinner table. So mixed in with those meals and recipes that my kids don’t always love, I have always tried to mix in some fun ones. The type of meals that they love. The ones that don’t cause dinner time battles.
Today’s recipe is an example of that. Crockpot cheeseburgers are based on the cheeseburger sloppy joes recipe that I have made for years. It is a recipe my kids love. It is not the healthiest of recipes. It contains an ingredient that many of you won’t love, but kids love this recipe and it makes a great occasional dinner treat.
This recipe also freezes well, so make a double or triple batch and freeze it for a simple meal later on.
If you need an easy kid friendly dinner, give this a try. And adults love this one too!

Notes

For those of you that are totally anti the cheese in the box, you can use shredded cheddar and also add in a little milk, but it won't be quite the same texture or taste.

Yum! I bet someone could easily make a homemade cheese sauce that would be a decent substitute for the velveeta if they wanted to. I made a vegan cheese sauce a month ago and I bet it would even be good in here.
