When I was looking through the pictures on my phone for today’s Everyday Adventures Post I realized that I only took pictures of food.
I think there are several reasons for this. We had a busy week. It was one of those weeks where we had something going on everyday. My ankle is also not back to 100% yet. It is better, but not 100%. That means that I spent a lot of time sitting down with my foot up. So, my week was not very exciting.
I had planned on getting a lot of reading done, but instead I did a lot of behind the scenes website stuff. The technical stuff that I don’t like so much. However, it was a good time to catch up on some of it because I sitting down so much of the time.
I sent out my first Gluten Free Newsletter this week. If you are gluten free or know someone that is here is the information on how you can sign up.
If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook you might have seen this picture earlier this week.
Dinner was interesting one night. I thought I added two cans of mild green chilies to the recipe but instead I used two cans of hot green chilies…. I added cheese and sour cream to mine and it was still too hot for me. My kids added cheese and could tolerate it. My husband tasted it and said” what this isn’t hot” and he poured hot salsa on his.
I will share the recipe soon for it. And don’t worry I will share it with the right peppers listed!
I have been in the muffin making mood lately. This recipe was good, but it still needs a little work before I share it.
Yesterday we talked bacon and bacon grease. If you missed that post be sure to read it here. I finally shared how I cook bacon in the oven.
I am working on updating some of my archives. Last week I worked on my homemade Rice A Roni post. The pictures in the old post were long overdue for an update. I had not made the recipe in years.
I realized that you might cook a lot from scratch and have lots of food allergies, if you make homemade Rice A Roni and your kids have no idea what Rice A Roni is. So you then spend dinner time trying to describe it and explain why you actually used to buy and eat it.
We have a busy weekend. My girls have a piano competition and I have a house that is in desperate need of cleaning! I hope you all have a great weekend!
