It is strawberry season and I am sharing some of my favorite strawberry recipes!
I grew up in northwest Oregon and that part of Oregon is strawberry country.
It is actually known for all kinds of berries, vineyards, and hazelnuts. When I visit my family during the summer we always stop at the roadside stands to get berries, cherries, and more.
We eat most of them fresh, but we also love to use them in recipes while at my mom’s. Fresh Oregon strawberries are the best.
I grew up picking strawberries. I spent most of the months of June and early July, from the age of eight to twelve, in the berry fields.
We made a whole two dollars a flat for the berries we picked.
That berry picking money not only helped buy my school clothes it also helped pay for my first car. At the time I did not enjoy strawberry picking, but I am thankful for the lessons it taught me.
I have a special place in my heart for strawberries! I could probably share all kinds of strawberry recipes, but today I am sharing six of my favorite quick and easy strawberry recipes.
